The Department of Art History and Art Conservation is the place at Queen’s to explore and understand our visual world, past or present. Home to a diverse array of distinguished scholars in the fields of global arts, architecture, museum, and material studies, we are a dynamic community of faculty, students, and staff engaging in creative, rigorous and socially-engaged teaching and research. Whether it’s in an intimate seminar room or at the Venice Biennale, our students gain valuable learning experiences that prepare them to be innovative thinkers and leaders in the arts and cultural sector - and beyond.
The Department offers undergraduate (B.A.) and graduate (M.A. and Ph.D.) degrees in Art History, as well a Master of Art Conservation (M.A.C.).
